Introducing the all-new PERKINS SMARTCAP a revolution in the engine monitoring.

Designed to replace the oil filler cap, Perkins SmartCap is a low-cost connectivity solution that allows end users to connect their mobile device to their engine via the free Perkins® My Engine App on their smartphone.

The cap monitors the Perkins engine and sends data directly to the Perkins My Engine App. The free app can be downloaded through the smart phone from the Apple and Google stores.

When combined, the Perkins SmartCap and Perkins My Engine App will give Perkins customers truly useful engine information including:

  • Engine running hours
  • Engine location
  • Service reminders and service log
  • Start / stop data
  • Parts book and consumables information

The low-cost Perkins SmartCap in conjunction with the Perkins My Engine App will, for the first time, enable Perkins customers to easily track use of their engine and servicing requirements, locate their local Perkins distributor, see parts information and receive service updates, all in one place.

The app was launched and is already proving popular with end customers, as it allows them to register their Perkins engine, access their OMM (Operating Maintenance Manual) and parts book. A service record can also be kept, while the user can easily make contact with their local Perkins Distributor, through the Distributor Locator feature.

Opening of the new showroom

The biggest event for 2011 was the grand opening of its’ First Perkins Parts Retail store at No. 200, Sri Sangaraja Mawatha, Colombo 10 on 14th June, 2011.

This event was successfully held amidst a large gathering with Mr. Matthew Bradshaw,the Director Sales of Perkins (Asia Pacific) & Mr. Peter Ho, Parts Marketing Manager (Asia Pacific) being present to grace this special occasion.

This store is conveniently located in a popular spare parts area in Maradana, where customers could purchase Genuine Perkins Engine parts. A special offer of 10% discount is available until 30th June on all Perkins spare parts at this store.

Macsa Head Office and Sales Office re-located to Sangaraja Mawatha from 15-10-12

Macsa (Pvt) Ltd., re-located its’ new Head office & Sales office at No. 200, Sri Sangaraja Mawatha, Colombo 10 and commenced operation from 15th October 2012 . It consists of a 5 storey building, which is conveniently situated in an area highly popular for motor spare parts.

The Perkins Sales Show room on the Ground Floor, the Administration & Marketing division on the 1st Floor, Non/Slow moving stock on the 2nd floor and Management & Accounts, on the 3rd floor, is situated to centralize operations.
